Jenny Boddington
Director and Chief Executive Officer
Jenny Boddington is Director and CEO of QBE Lenders’ Mortgage Insurance Limited. She is also a Director of QBE Mortgage Insurance (Asia) Limited based in Hong Kong.
Prior to her appointment as CEO, Jenny oversaw the Risk and Operations function of the business bringing together Underwriting and Customer Services, Claims and Loss Mitigation, Business Solutions and Technology and Credit Risk Management Business units. Before Jenny’s appointment to this role in March 2008, she was head of new business ventures for QBE LMI. Jenny joined us in 2005.
Jenny has more than 20 years’ experience in strategy, investment banking and private equity. Prior to joining QBE LMI, Jenny was Director of Private Equity for Deutsche Asset Management and before that she was a Director of Deutsche Bank investment banking in Sydney and in London.
Jenny has a Masters Honours degree in Metallurgy, Economics and Industrial Management from Oxford University.
Michael Savery
Chairman
Michael Savery is CFO of QBE Lenders’ Mortgage Insurance Limited, and Director of QBE Mortgage Insurance (Asia) Limited based in Hong Kong.
Michael joined QBE LMI in 2003. He has 28 years experience in financial services and the accounting profession in Australia, including 6 years in mortgage insurance. Michael is a Chartered Accountant (CA), a Registered Tax Agent and has a Company Directors Course Diploma from the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Michael’s experience includes 12 years with KPMG principally in audit and assurance. He has also held various senior finance roles in Australia with HSBC, NatWest Markets, Salomon Smith Barney, and AMP.
Jecky Lui
Non Executive Director
Jecky Lui was appointed as an Non Executive Director of QBE MI Asia since December 2008.
Jecky has over 35 years experience in general insurance including 28 years at senior management positions. He was General Manager of QBE Hongkong and Shanghai Insurance Limited during September 1985 to December 2010 and currently remains as non executive director of this Company. He served as councillor in the Motor Insurance Bureau from May 2000 to September 2001, and as Honorary Secretary for the Insurance Claims Complaints Bureau during March 2000 to December 2010.
Jecky is a senior associate of Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance.
Roger Luk
Independent Non Executive Director
Roger Luk was appointed as an Independent Non Executive Director of QBE MI Asia since May 2011.
Roger is a veteran banker with more than 30 years experience in commercial banking. His last position held before retirement in 2005 was Executive Director and Deputy Chief Executive with Hang Seng Bank. He sits on the board of a number of listed and private companies like China Properties Group Ltd., i-Cable Communications Limited and Octopus Card Ltd. Moreover, he is an active member in public services taking posts such as Council member and Treasurer of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, member of the Operations Review Committee of the Independent Commission for Anti-Corruption and member of Town Planning Board. He was an appointed Member of the Hong Kong Legislative Council from 1992 to 1995.
Roger is a Bachelor of Social Sciences (BSc) in Statistics from The University of Hong Kong (1973) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (1981). He is an Adjunct Professor of The Chinese University of Hong Kong and City University of Hong Kong. Besides, he is a Non-official Justice of the Peace and awarded the honour of Bronze Bauhinia Star.

KY Poon
Managing Director
Kwok Yuen (KY) Poon joined QBE MI Asia in October 2010 and was approved as Managing Director by the Hong Kong Insurance Authority on 8 November 2010. He is responsible for the business development of mortgage insurance and general management of the Hong Kong business.
KY has over 25 years experience across a variety of disciplines within the finance industry where he has a demonstrated track record for results.
Prior to joining QBE MI Asia, KY held a series of senior positions including CEO of Home Credit (China), President and CEO of AIG Finance (Hong Kong) Ltd., Retail Banking Executive of Chase Manhattan Bank (Hong Kong) and Division Head of Consumer Banking with Standard Chartered Bank, Brunei.
KY has a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (London).
In addition, KY has also been a member of the Deposit-Taking Companies Advisory Committee and Vice Chairman of The Executive Committee of the Finance House Association of Hong Kong Ltd.
Shirley Ng
Head of Business Development
Shirley Ng joined QBE MI Asia in Jun 2011 as the Head of Business Development. In that role, her key objective is to grow the mortgage insurance business in Hong Kong.
Shirley has more than 15 years experience in sales, marketing and customer service in which she has a proven track record for results. Prior to joining QBE MI Asia, Shirley was the Senior Manager, Business Development of MetLife Hong Kong responsible for developing and securing new business partners for their bancassurance, telemarketing and broker channels. Before that, she was the Regional Customer Service Manager of AIA managing the after-sales services for corporate customers in the 6 Asian markets.
Shirley obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Simon Fraser University of Canada, majoring Marketing and Management Science, and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Charles Sturt University of Australia. She is an Associate, Life Management Institute (ALMI).
Wendy Tsang
Head of Risk Management
Wendy is the Head of Risk Management and oversees Risk and Operations of the Hong Kong business. Wendy has more than 15 years experience in corporate and commercial lending with financial institutions in Hong Kong and the US. Before joining QBE MI Asia in 2002, Wendy was Manager of Corporate Lending and Syndication Department for Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation in Hong Kong. She was previously Vice President of Manufacturers Bank and Assistant Vice President of Security Pacific National Bank of Commercial Lending in Los Angeles.
Wendy has a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Business Economics from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.
Financial Controller
Henry Sit joined QBE MI Asia in October 2011 as Financial Controller, with overall responsibility for the financial operations of the Company.
Henry has more than 20 years experience in leading and managing the finance & accounting, treasury, payroll, compliance, company secretarial and IT functions of multi-national companies in Hong Kong and China. Prior to joining QBE MI Asia, he was Regional Financial Controller with Abercrombie & Kent (Hong Kong) Ltd., a public global travel company. Henry also held the positions of Finance Director & Company Secretary for Lockton Companies (Hong Kong) Ltd., part of one of the world's largest privately owned, independent insurance broker groups, as well as Financial Controller for Atos Origin (Hong Kong) Ltd., a renowned international IT company .
Henry has a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree and a Master of Professional Accounting (MPAcc) degree. He is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Secretary and Chartered Management Accountant.
