QBE MI Asia has been operating a residential mortgage insurance business in the Hong Kong market since 1999. In December 2008 we became part of the QBE Group and now operate as QBE Mortgage Insurance (Asia) Limited (QBE MI Asia).
Our parent company, QBE Lenders’ Mortgage Insurance Limited (QBE LMI), is a successful Australasian mortgage insurer, credit enhancer and residential property market specialist. QBE LMI has been providing mortgage insurance in Australia since 1965 and in New Zealand since 1988.
QBE Insurance Group Limited (“The QBE Group”) (our ultimate holding company) established local representation in Hong Kong in 1920. QBE Hong Kong and Shanghai Insurance Limited has a deep understanding of the Hong Kong market and is a leading provider of general and specialist insurance products.
